  • In Search Of A Black Gay Agenda: This interactive discussion will explore the social and political issues that impact Black Gay and Lesbian communities. Black Gay and Lesbian people find themselves a part of two communities - one Black and one Gay. What are the key issues facing Black Gay and Lesbian persons? Come and explore this life impacting topic.

  • The Next Generation: The Impact of HIV/AIDS on Young Men Who Have Sex with Men. The number of young homosexual men being newly diagnosed with HIV infection is rising by 12% a year, with the steepest upward trend in yong Black men, according to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. This round table discussion will consist of personal stories from young men living with HIV, and public health experts on what we can do as a community to slow the tied  of rising HIV infections among this second generation of young gay and bisexual men of color.

  • What If...?: The "ifs" in life can be more challenging for same gender loving people than their straight counterparts. What do you need to know to prepare for your financial future? Come in and discuss your options with financial experts from MetLife, for the IF in Life.
    2PM - 3PM: Facilitator - "MetLife Representative"
  • What’s A Word Worth: The Spoken and Written Word of The Black LGBT Community: African American LGBT persons have made great contributions to the literary and spoken word art forms. This discussion group celebrates those contributions by highlighting local spoken word artis, and nationally recognized authors. Brought to you by St. Louis’ own Sista Speak, this workshop will certainly increase your knowledge and appreciation for this form of artistic expression.
